Editorial and slow-fashion briefs read better against the warm stone of a 500-year-old finca, the deep-set windows of a whitewashed Casa del Viento, or the shaded courtyard of an inland estate. When the styling needs architectural weight — centuries of cobblestone, fortified wall, an archway cut into limestone — Dalt Vila is the only honest answer on the island. Private villas and fincas are simpler but each owner has their own tolerance around swimwear, wardrobe takeovers and visible third-party brand logos on the property — we flag all of this on the shortlist so no conversation has to happen on set.

Yes, but every Ibiza public beach shoot needs a permit filed with the relevant ajuntament, and natural-park stretches such as Ses Salines and parts of the south-east coast have stricter rules around crew size, vehicles and drones. We handle the permit paperwork as part of the scope — it typically needs five to fifteen working days’ lead time depending on the location and time of year, longer in peak summer. Xarraca, the desert-like coast and the sunrise beach are all permit-able with the right filing.
Dalt Vila — Ibiza’s UNESCO-listed walled Old Town — is shoot-able for commercial fashion work with permits filed through the Consell d’Eivissa and the Ajuntament d’Eivissa. The narrow lanes, fortified walls and panoramic viewpoints make it one of the strongest architectural backdrops in the Balearics, but crew size, parking and lighting kit all need agreeing in advance. We scout the specific corners that read cleanly on camera and clear them before the shoot day.
It depends on the mood. Xarraca on the northern coast gives you red rocks, golden sand and a rich colour palette. The desert-like south coast reads raw and minimalist — dry, editorial, almost otherworldly. The south-east natural park and the end-of-summer beach deliver classic wide Mediterranean horizons with dunes and pine, and the sunrise beach is quiet, crowd-free and perfect for winter-fashion campaigns. Cala Jondal and the south-west coast are adjacent scout areas when the brief wants the glossier beach-club register.
May, June, September and early October are the sweet spot — full summer light without August heat or peak rates, and crew, villas and beaches all accessible. July–August delivers the hardest Mediterranean light and the strongest energy for swim-week and resort content, but availability tightens and rates climb. Winter Ibiza (November through March) is underrated for editorial — soft light, empty beaches, discounted villa rates and very little visual noise in the frame.
