Ibiza’s 1999-inscribed UNESCO old town requires specific approvals; tripods, power and crew routing through the walls are regulated. We’re familiar with what the heritage office approves in practice and can route a shoot through the system.

Notice periods run from 7 working days (Eivissa) to 10 business days (Sant Josep, Sant Antoni, coastal) and 20 business days for drones. It depends on the ayuntamiento: Eivissa requires 7 working days’ notice, Sant Josep de sa Talaia and Sant Antoni de Portmany 10 business days, and coastal permits 10 days. Drone filings need 20 business days with AESA/local authority coordination. We start paperwork at the same time as scouting so permits don’t become the critical path.
Public-liability insurance is mandatory for every ayuntamiento application and most venue releases, with the level of cover scaling to the size of the production. For drone work you also need specific drone liability under Spanish/EU operator rules. If you bring your own production insurance we review certificates; if not, we place cover for the shoot days through our broker.
